What Are Learning Difficulties?

Learning difficulties are differences in the way a person processes and learns information, resulting in difficulties that could affect reading, writing, spelling, mathematics, organisation, memory or comprehension.

These difficulties vary from person to person and can impact learning in different ways.

Does A Learning Difficulty Mean A Child Is Not Intelligent?

No. Learning difficulties are not related to intelligence.

Many students with learning difficulties are bright, creative and capable. They simply process information differently and may benefit from specialised teaching approaches and support.

Common Signs Of Learning Difficulties
  • Reading fluency difficulties
  • Spelling and written expression challenges
  • Remembering instructions
  • Mathematical concepts
  • Organisation and attention
  • Retaining new information
When Should I Seek Support?

If your child is consistently struggling with academic tasks, becoming frustrated with learning, showing reduced confidence or performing below expectations despite effort and support, it may be beneficial to seek professional guidance.

Can Students With Learning Difficulties Succeed Academically?

Absolutely.

With early identification, appropriate support and effective learning strategies, students with learning difficulties can achieve academic success and pursue a wide range of educational and career opportunities.

Learning Support FAQs

Does My Child Need A Formal Diagnosis?

Not necessarily. While a formal assessment can provide valuable information, many students benefit from learning support based on their individual learning needs, strengths and challenges.

How Can Learning Support Help?

Learning support focuses on developing academic skills, strengthening understanding of concepts, improving academic confidence and providing strategies that help students become more successful and independent learners as they navigate the rigour of the curriculum.

How Do I Know If My Child Would Benefit?

A child may benefit from learning support if they are struggling to understand concepts, finding it difficult to keep up with academic expectations, showing reduced confidence in learning or requiring additional guidance to develop specific skills.

Once you select a monthly plan and complete the payment, you can reserve a regular weekly time slot based on availability.

Can I Cancel Or Reschedule A Session?

Yes. Sessions may be rescheduled if at least 24 hours' notice is provided. We will do our best to offer an alternative time during the same month, subject to availability.

What Happens If My Child Misses A Session?

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled session without providing at least 24 hours' notice, the session will be considered completed and cannot be rescheduled.

If advance notice is given, we will make every effort to arrange an alternative session within the same month.

When Do I Make The Payment?

Payment is made in advance at the beginning of each monthly learning plan. Your child's weekly learning slot is confirmed once payment has been received.

Fees paid for monthly learning support plans are generally non-refundable once the programme has commenced.

If exceptional circumstances arise, please contact us and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.
